Who regulates AFS licence?
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is the regulator of the financial services industry and is responsible for regulating AFS licences. ASIC assesses applications for AFS licences and monitors the activities of licensees to ensure they comply with their obligations. ASIC also has the power to take enforcement action against licensees who breach their obligations or engage in misconduct.
